A single mounted boarding step that bridges the gap between a fixed dock and a pontoon deck. It adds one intermediate landing point, turning an awkward stride into two normal steps at a transition where guests otherwise grab the fence for balance. It also serves as a lower step below a gate or ladder, or a step up onto a raised casting deck.

One step covers a modest height difference. Where the deck-to-dock gap runs over about a foot, or boarding is from a floating dock that moves with the water, a multi-step ladder is the better answer.
