A 3/8 in double braid nylon dock line, 20 ft long, in black. Double braid stays supple where three-strand goes stiff after a season, so it coils flat and runs cleanly through a hand. Nylon stretches, and that stretch absorbs wake surge instead of putting a shock load on the cleats and rail hardware.

Twenty feet reaches where a 10 ft line will not: a fuel dock with the cleats in the wrong place, a piling instead of a cleat, or another boat in a raft-up. It also serves as a spring line, an anchor snubber, or a line taken around a piling and brought back aboard.
