Magma Marine Kettle 17" Party Size Gas Grill with Hinged Lid – A10-215

Everybody on a pontoon eventually gets hungry, and the moment somebody has to run the boat back to the ramp for lunch, the day is basically over. A grill on the rail is what turns an afternoon on the water into a whole day on the water — and the Magma Marine Kettle is the one that has been doing that job on Gulf Coast boats for decades.

This is the 17" party-size Kettle, the larger of the two round Kettles, with roughly 240 square inches of grilling surface — enough to cook for six or eight people without doing it in shifts. The body and lid are mirror-polished 18-9 marine-grade stainless, which is the whole reason these grills last: salt spray simply does not touch them the way it eats cheaper chrome-plated grills. The lid is hinged rather than lift-off, so you are never setting a hot, greasy dome down on your deck or juggling it in a crosswind.

Heat comes from a fully enclosed, wind-resistant burner with an integrated ignition and a radiant plate that spreads the flame evenly instead of scorching one hot spot in the middle. It runs off a standard 1 lb disposable propane canister, or off a larger LPG tank with the appropriate Magma adapter hose. Grease drains to a removable catch so cleanup at the dock is a two-minute job.

Magma builds the Kettle to be mounted, not set down loose — pair it with a rail mount, a rod-holder mount or a deck socket and it becomes a permanent part of the boat rather than something you carry on and off.

Good to know: mounting hardware is sold separately — the grill ships as the kettle, lid, burner and grate only. This is the classic round Kettle (A10-215), not the newer Marine Kettle 3 series. Universal fit: it mounts to whatever rail, socket or gunwale bracket you choose, so there is no boat-specific fitment to match. Not sure which mount suits your rail?
