On most pontoons the factory sidelights are the first electrical parts to give up — the sockets corrode, the lenses craze and go milky, and one side quietly stops working until a marine officer points it out.

There are no bulbs to fail, current draw is a fraction of the incandescent fixtures they replace, and the low deck-mount profile sits out of the way of dock lines, covers, and bow rails. USCG certified for 1 nautical mile visibility with correctly cut light angles, so the red and green show exactly where they are supposed to and nowhere else.
