Hertz HMX 8-TC 8.8" Marine Coaxial Speakers – Pair, 4 Ohm 200W, IP65 Black

A pair of Hertz HMX 8-TC hi-end marine coaxial speakers with tone-on-tone black stainless steel mesh grilles. The larger 224 mm cone reaches lower and plays louder than a 6.5 in, which is what open-deck boats need once the engine and wind are working against the system.

Despite the "8" in the model name this is a 224 mm (8.8 in) driver and needs a 180 mm (7.09 in) hole — larger than a nominal 8 in speaker. Construction is the same as the rest of the HMX line: polypropylene cone with UV inhibitors on a Santoprene surround, UV-resistant polymer basket and grille, aramid fibre spider. Rated IP65 and tested against salt fog, UV and water jet.

Fit: flush-mount through a 180 mm (7.09 in) hole with 123 mm (4.84 in) of clearance behind it. That is wider and deeper than a 6.5 in opening, so an existing 6.5 in hole will need enlarging and the panel needs real space behind it — measure both before ordering. Runs on any 4 ohm marine head unit or amplifier; no amplifier is included.
