CE Smith Pontoon Bolster Bracket 1/8" - Galvanized

Pontoon trailers don't cradle a hull the way a V-hull trailer does — they support two or three round tubes, and the bunk has to meet each tube at the right angle or the load rides on an edge instead of a face. Bolster brackets are what set that angle, and they're the part that quietly wears out: the galvanizing goes at the pivot, the bracket starts to sag, and the bunk stops sitting flat against the tube.

This CE Smith 1/8" galvanized bolster bracket is the replacement for that. The 1/8" material is the heavier gauge — worth having on a trailer that sees ramp saltwater or carries a bigger tritoon, where a lighter bracket flexes under load and lets the bunk shift.

Signs you need these: uneven wear across your bunk carpet, a tube that's picking up a scuff line in one spot, or a bunk that's visibly not parallel to the tube when the boat is sitting on the trailer. Any of those means the bracket geometry has moved.

Good to know: brackets are almost always replaced in pairs or sets — matching a new bracket against a sagged old one just moves the problem.
