Big Sky Precision Phender Pro 1/2" Install Tool – Retrofit Fender Receiver Blind Install, BSPA-1183

The Phender Pro 1/2 in Install Tool is the threaded handle used to set the brass nut plate behind a panel when fitting a Phender Pro retrofit fender receiver. It screws into the nut plate so the plate can be pivoted through the drilled hole, seated against the back face and pulled up to bond its adhesive, then unscrewed before the receiver goes in.

Phender Pro hardware comes in two sizes and the tools are not interchangeable. This is the 1/2 in tool, for 1/2 in receivers drilled to a 1 in hole. The 3/8 in receivers use a different tool, BSPA-1187.

Included: one install tool and one locator disc. Receivers, quick-release pins and fender sets are sold separately.

Fit: Phender Pro 1/2 in retrofit receivers, and the receiver in the BSPA-1182 set. Big Sky lists the tool as recommended rather than required, but the published install procedure gives no other method for placing the nut plate, so it matters most where there is no access behind the mounting surface.
